I wish to acknowledge Bryans sound contribution to the work of Environment Canterbury in the area of hazardous waste management.

We have benefited from your efforts in organising the recovery of LPG and the reconditioning of the cylinders, the recovery of e Waste, carrying out Hazardous Waste Awareness and HSNO training for all of the nine Councils in Canterbury including coordinating the approved handlers course. The research you have undertaken regarding the issues and options for the safe management of asbestos waste and managing treated timber is also appreciated.

On behalf of the Councillor’s and staff, I thank you for your contribution to the  work programmes of Environment Canterbury and wish you all the very best for the challenges that lie ahead of you as the South Island Manager for a multi-national company.

Yours sincerely

“Bryan, just wanted to thank you for your presentation in the Foxtail, it was really thought provoking”.

Bryan was seconded to the Christchurch City Council for this period working on procurement and supply chain projects for the duration of his appointment.

Working within the Procurement & Purchasing group, Bryan worked on a variety of projects as a senior Procurement Specialist & Advisor. Bryan led several complex Procurement exercises, including:

  1. Establishment of the new CHCH Stadium service supply contracts including traffic management, waste management, cleaning and catering;
  2. Procurement of the city-wide low pressure sewage pumps for the water & waste water infrastructure rebuild;
  3. Recruitment Contractors for Councils labour requirements; and
  4. CBS Arena Maintenance Contracts including Fire, HVAC and Security

Bryan was responsible for scoping, supplier market analysis, RFx processes, negotiations, and supplier appointments.

Bryan undertook these roles in a very competent and professional manner, always operating with clarity of purpose and a culture of urgency. His customers were delighted and appreciated a high level of communication and feedback at all stages of the RFx exercise.

Bryans’ tenure concluded with Spire Consulting’s contract with Council coming to an end. I would have no hesitation in recommending Bryan to any potential employer or client. His skills and capability are well regarded and would be an asset to any end user requiring these skills.

Yours Sincerely
